About Dragonfly Art Studio
Dragonfly Art Studio is a place where kids and adults develop their creative talent in a fun and stimulating environment. The classes are designed to allow you to explore a range of different materials and techniques and discover how to be creative and learn new skills.
Students will learn everything from basic art concepts, explore hidden talents, learn focus , bring out their creative side that will bring balance into their life and learn positive self critiques. Through the arts, children learn to think creatively, build confidence, are challenged to solve problems, while developing their ability to focus, and much more! They will work in all types of mediums from charcoal to clay. They can learn a variety of skills such as sewing, printmaking, painting, or weaving and study different artists from Picasso and Georgia O’Keeffe to Constantin Brancusi and Maria Martinez.
Oceanna Holton, owner and creator of Dragonfly Art Studio is an artist with a degree in Fine Arts and has been teaching children for over 21 years. In her art studio you will find her screen printing t-shirts, crocheting baby blankets, sewing sock monkeys, making dolls, painting, or framing her photography. She has been drawing as long as she can remember. Her teaching experience started in college where she taught art to first and second graders in Durango, Colorado. Since then, she has taught at several schools in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. When she is not working on her own artwork, she is searching for and creating new and exciting projects for Dragonfly Art Studio.
